Why collegue is my blessed at work and in life*

How do you deal with God blessing someone (abundantly) while it seems you're stagnant? I'm not taking it well. I had a job dream, I also worked hard, why did I get a no and she got a yes, even on first try?

Do you ever just feel like God has favourites?... :/

A:

1.God does not play a favorites game. That is what fallen sinful people do.

Romans 2:11:
For there is no partiality with God.

2. Not sure if this is a work related complaint of discontent And ungratefullness, But God puts us in our work place & in our job primarily to earn money to support our basic needs. He blessed you with that job.
Secondarily but equally as important he put you there as a mission field. Your job is to find opportunities to share the Gospel there. But you also need to read and know the Bible to do that, bcuz without the knowledge of the Word you cannot provide answers from the authority on truth; God's Word. You need to grow in that area as well. Perhaps God has plans to put you in many places (like with Esther) but you are not at the right maturity level as a soldier in God's army as a messenger of truth yet for him to use you. So he might not move you very far until your life aligns with His Will, vs your selfishly motivated ones.

Matthew 6:33:
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

That is not saying earthly wealth and always good things. We are in a sin stained world with suffering and problems, things that seem unfair also but God is Soverignly in control, and we know it is for good in the end.

Genesis 50:20:
"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today

Romans 8:28:
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

It is all about His Will being accomplished. Not ours.

Proverbs 16:9:
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Matthew 6:10:
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Ephesians 5:17:
"Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is."

Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

3. God has diff plans for diff people. He uses our circumstances (that he allowed or directed to happen) to being us closer to him and for us to conquer sins. A lot of people have nothing and no one. We are to be thankful, grateful for what we have, and be content with what he has given us. We dont know the future whether it is more blessed in temporary earthly things or more blessed in spiritual things that are eternal. Praise and thank him even as John the Baptist, Stephen and the Apostles did. We are just travelers thru this world on our Journey homeward to Heaven and we pick up our cross and follow Christ to death even if it is persecution like they endured or myrters olf old, today, or the reformers. Read Foxes book of martyrs and books by joni erikson tada,  corrie tenbom, and Elisabeth Elliot, and even read the Bible to see stories of lives like these who relied and trusted God. Our hope, trust, peace and future are all with God. He takes care of our basic needs.

Matthew 6:25-27:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"

Job 1:20‭-‬22
Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Despite all this, Job did not sin, nor did he blame God.

Regarding our work job, our spiritual job preparing, growing, mission field and reaching the lost, but as we do more we are given more; opportunities, blessings, courage, confidence, etc in both realms. But our focus needs to be on living a Christ like godly Christian life.

We should start at the bottom and work our way up, to be like Joseph who was trustworthy in a little and was given more and more responsibility. Not talking just about our job job, but

Colossians 3:23:
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.
