The Prodigal; lived in sin, desire for turning to God

Q: I’ve been a Christian all my life, but I realize that I’ve been lukewarm in my faith. I now feel a deep desire to turn away from sin, pursue a more righteous life, draw closer to God, and make it to heaven. What are some key steps I can take to begin this journey toward a more holy and devoted life? A: No one is a "Christian" their whole life. And, tbh many dont realize that while they may have grown up in church and prayed a prayer, but are actually false converts (they embraced a wrong/false gospel, or came to Jesus for a different reason than Scripture offers); so they never were saved to begin with. And thus live a life of sin after their "profession".  Understanding the difference between knowing of God and intimately knowing Him. The latter helps you in many ways and areas such as when hard times come, since you still hold fast in faith knowing God is good, does good, is up to something good that will bless you too.  Let's make sure today that you ar...
